Costs

All prices include GST. Any delegate will be issued with a GST tax invoice on request.

Conference registration for Heritage Roses NZ members: $580

Conference registration for non-members: $640 (includes membership of Heritage Roses NZ to the end of the financial year, September 2024).

Pre-Conference Tour: $100 – $385 depending on options.

Post-Conference Tour: $340 – $760 depending on accommodation options.    

Variation

Heritage Roses New Zealand reserve the right to change the programme to suit altered circumstances.

Should the conference be required to be cancelled, any fees paid will be refunded, after allowing deduction of any non-refundable expenses.

Privacy statement

Information in the registration form will be used only by the conference administrators as they see fit to run the conference efficiently.

No information in the registration form will be passed on to any third party.

Sustainability

The conference is designed to be as sustainable as possible. When possible, private transport will not be used for garden visits. We aim to be as paper-free as possible. The programme and conference notes are on the website and can be downloaded from it. Conference bags, brochures and booklets are superfluous, and to reduce landfill, will not be issued.

Health and Safety

Any delegate who has a respiratory infection will not be allowed access to any event.

Should there be a high-risk respiratory infection status in New Zealand, masks may be mandatory on buses and the conference venue.

Gardens can present potential health and safety risks. Any delegate visiting a garden accepts these potential risks and will not make any claim against garden owners, Heritage Roses New Zealand or the conference organising committee or any individual or organisation involved with the running of the conference.

The conference is smokefree. No smoking will be allowed at any garden or venue or their grounds, or transportation.

Central Otago sun is usually very hot and strong in clear, dry air. Be sun-savvy: use SPF50+ sunscreen and wear a hat, even on a cloudy day.

Garden Visit Protocol

No plant material shall be removed from any garden.

Transport to and from gardens will be by bus. No private vehicles will be allowed except for the pre-conference tour and those with wheelchair mobility.

Limited Mobility

The conference cannot provide wheelchair access for bus or shuttle transport. Unfortunately, any delegate in a wheelchair will need to provide private transport. 

All other delegates will visit gardens by bus or shuttle van.

Those with otherwise impaired mobility are requested to take the option to travel by shuttle van to streamline bus ingress and egress.

Accommodation

Pre-conference tour accommodation is optional bed and breakfast accommodation at Knox College, Dunedin.

Conference accommodation is the delegate’s responsibility.

Post-conference tour includes two nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation at the Ascot Hotel, Invercargill.

Free shuttle service will be provided within a 10-kilometre radius of the conference venue.

There is no public transport service within the Cromwell area.

Registration Information

Conference fee must be paid in full and includes all events listed on the website.

Only full registrations are allowed.

Accommodation booking and conference accommodation payment is the delegate’s responsibility.

Pre-conference and post-conference tours are available to conference delegates only.

All fees include GST. Delegates will be issued with a GST tax invoice.

Cancellation: Half payment is refundable up to 26th October 2024 for the pre-conference tour and conference and 1st October 2024 for the post-conference tour.

Registration will be confirmed, and tax invoice issued when payment in full has been received.
